Maya Eriksson was born in 1981 in West-Berlin to a German mother and a Mexican father. She currently works as a Creative producer at Filmtank and at the Interactive Media Foundation (IMF). Her background is in directing and dramaturgy – she started as one of the co-founders of the self-managed film school, filmArche e.V., in Berlin. There she headed the directing department from 2001 – 2005 and went on to take her Master’s Degree in filmmaking at the London Film school in 2009. During this time she directed and produced a number of short films and worked as a production assistant for Sally Potter at Adventure Pictures in London. Remco also oversees the channel’s curatorial projects, such as the Top5 series, 2Pause.com, Watchthtitles.com – and Submarine Channel’s spin offs programs in the physical realm (screening and events). He regularly represents Submarine as a speaker at festivals and events (Fantoche, Icograda, Melbourne Arts Fest, the Hammer Museum, Stedelijk Museum). Mit Joris Rühl entwickelt er daraufhin den multimedialen 60-minütigen Web-Dokumentarfilm „Europa : Die Ostgrenze“, der 2012 von TV5Monde ausgestrahlt wird. Das Projekt wird im Anschluss auf mehreren Filmfestivals wie dem Dok Leipzig, dem Prix Europa und den RIDM (Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal) in Kanada vorgeführt. 2013 wird es mit dem Deutsch-Französischen Journalistenpreis in der Kategorie Multimedia ausgezeichnet. Tawan hat in Paris eine Fachausbildung als Grafikdesigner absolviert.
