She currently works as a Creative producer at Filmtank and at the Interactive Media Foundation (IMF). Her background is in directing and dramaturgy –  she started as one of the co-founders of the self-managed film school, filmArche e.V., in Berlin. There she headed the directing department from 2001 – 2005 and went on to take her Master’s Degree in filmmaking at the London Film school in 2009.  During this time she directed and produced a number of short films and worked as a production assistant for Sally Potter at Adventure Pictures in London. She has been an active member of NISI MASA – European Network of Young Cinema since 2001.

Remco Vlaanderen

He is the editor-in-chief and works as a creative producer – predominantly on animation-based interactive projects. Projects he worked on include the interactive motion comic The Art of Pho and a series of interactive book trailers. Remco also oversees the channel’s curatorial projects, such as the Top5 series, 2Pause.com, Watchthtitles.com – and Submarine Channel’s spin offs programs in the physical realm (screening and events). He regularly represents Submarine as a speaker at festivals and events (Fantoche, Icograda, Melbourne Arts Fest, the Hammer Museum, Stedelijk Museum). Currently he is developing a new interactive graphic novel series, a game project and several new interactive documentaries. Previously, he has worked as a new media curator, as a writer and as an interaction designer.

Von 2009 bis 2012 verantwortet er als Regisseur und Editor Auftragsproduktionen unter anderem für die Techniche Universität Berlin, das Haus der Kulturen der Welt und Arte.tv sowie eine Dokumentation des Kunstprojektes Trans305 in Paris. Tawan entwickelt auch persönliche Projekte, 2008 präsentiert er „Van-Vannes“ im ARD-Hauptstadtstudio. 2009 stellt er seinen achtminütigen Film „Die Trägheit der Materie“ im Kleist Museum Frankfurt/Oder vor. 2009 realisiert er mit Periphery Explorer eine fotografische und akustische Arbeit, die in Paris ausgestellt wird. Mit Joris Rühl entwickelt er daraufhin den multimedialen 60-minütigen Web-Dokumentarfilm „Europa : Die Ostgrenze“, der 2012 von TV5Monde ausgestrahlt wird. Das Projekt wird im Anschluss auf mehreren Filmfestivals wie dem Dok Leipzig, dem Prix Europa und den RIDM (Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal) in Kanada vorgeführt. 2013 wird es mit dem Deutsch-Französischen Journalistenpreis in der Kategorie Multimedia ausgezeichnet. Tawan hat in Paris eine Fachausbildung als Grafikdesigner absolviert. An der Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee hat er visuelle Kommunikation studiert und nach dem Diplom als künstlerischer Mitarbeiter gearbeitet.
